Cosmo Cricket Layouts!!!
Hello all my scrappin' friends! Here are a couple of my favorite layouts and a project that I made for Carter's room created with the fabulous Cosmo Cricket product.
The first layout, LOVING IT, was made with Cosmo Cricket's Cogsmo line for Becca and Emily's back to school page. Love these colors! They worked so great for the back to school theme!
The second layout, HOOKED, was made with Cosmo Cricket's Wanted line. These colors and warn patterns were just perfect for the outdoors photo that I love printed in sepia!
Now, for Carter's project, I just used unfinished wooden letters that I picked up at my local craft store. I painted the sides and backs of the letters, and then I traced the letters onto the Cosmo Cricket's Cogsmo papers and cut them out. Then I adhered the cut out paper letters to the front of the wooden letters and WHA-LA!!! I just added a little lion to the 'C' and it was perfectly color coordinated with Carter's jungle themed room! Soooo cute!!! It's lots of fun doing some boy things this time since I've had two rounds of girls already. If you like the Cosmo Cricket product (which how could you not) then click on the link here on my blog to check out more of there products. TFL and let me know what you all think!

Father's Day
I think that Steve really enjoyed his Father's Day! The girls started off the morning by waking up before I even did, and making their Daddy breakfast in bed. Becca tried making an angel food cake that she looked up the recipe for online, but it didn't turn out quite right so I helped her cook some scrambled eggs. Emily made Steve's favorite, a toasted peanut butter sandwich with some fruit. The whole thing was very sweet! We hung around the house for a little while then headed out for lunch and then off to the store to buy the big present...a GPS that Steve has been really wanting. He had no idea that he was getting this gift and even protested for a few minutes that it was too much, but soon enough he was like a kid in a candy store surrounded by the latest and greatest boys toys. He picked one out and we immediately installed it in our van and had it take us to Mounds State Park to spend some time outdoors walking the trails and seeing the sights. After a couple of hours at the park we headed for some take out and a movie rental and spent the rest of the night watching movies and chatting. It was a great day with just our little family, and I hope Steve really enjoyed his Father's Day.

Becca & Livy's 5th Grade Promotion Party
Becca's 5th Grade Promotion
Well, Becca's 5th grade Promotion was about a week ago and it was so wonderful. I can't even explain how proud I was of her when I watched her walk down that isle wearing her Presidents Award Medal around her neck with the graduation music playing in the background. Becca not only graduated 5th grade with honors, but she was also involved in many school activities such as band, student council, and softball. She even earned the Citizenship Award earlier this year. All I can say is she is an AWESOME KID!!!

Memorial Day Cookout
Besides the little of drizzling rain that came later in the afternoon, this was a fantastic day. My brother-in-law grilled, took my mother-in-law for a ride on his new Harley (which was way too funny), the kids swam and played, and the grown-ups ate way too much and played a little horseshoes. It was fun and relaxing, and as a bonus I got some great shots which is always my main objective for a day like this. I hope everyone had as great of a holiday as I did!
