Donna Salazar Falling For You Layout

Hi everyone, today I wanted to share with you a layout that I created using the Donna Salazar Spring In Bloom 12x12 Paper Pad. This line is full of dusty pinks, light blues, jean, and pretty creams. I wanted to create a page about the day my son was born and all of the little things that I immediately fell in love with about him, and the blue colors in this line coordinated just perfectly with that little blue hospital onesie that he was wearing in the photos.

I used Donna's Tea Party Smooch Spritz to do some masking with a doily behind the photo, and then I splattered just a few spots with the Sea Breeze Smooch Spritz. I also inked the distressed edges of my paper with the ColorBox Cat's Eye Fluid Chalk Ink in Creamy Brown, Chestnut Roan, and Charcoal. I also cut two of the decorative labels from Donna's Calendar Page from her Artistic Papers and used those behind each photo.

Echo Park "Fresh Faces" Monthly Designer Call

Hi everyone, I'm here to share my submission for this month's Echo Park "Fresh Faces" Monthly Designer Call. I absolutely love Echo Park Paper, as most of you know because if you're regular followers of my blog then you know how many collections I have!! I can't get enough!

So, here are my 3 layouts for this month's submission.

Layout #1. Summer Joy - I created this layout using Echo Park's Springtime collection. I love these soft colors and patterns, especially that floral print that I used for most of my background. Then I used decorative scissors and a lace border punch to create borders along the right side of my layout that contain my journaling. I just added a few flowers and a piece of ribbon to finish off the page.

Layout #2. School Girls - I created this layout using Echo Park's For The Record collection. I used a lot of layers to create this page, as well as created a banner border along the left side of the layout. The ruler strip was just perfect for this back to school themed page, and the bird sticker was the perfect addition since I took these photos by the tree in our frontyard. I finished off this layout with some flowers, butterflies, and lace to add more of a springtime feel.

Layout #3. With All My Heart - I created this layout using the Echo Park Be Mine collection. I created borders with white cardstock for the center as my background so that my photos would pop, then added Echo Park stickers and cut out hearts and flourishes for accents. I finished the layout by adding my journaling with a punched border, and I used the Echo Park alpha stickers for my title and subtitle.

That's it for this month's Echo Park "Fresh Faces" submission. I hope you enjoyed seeing my layouts. Wish me luck!!

Celebrate with Helmar and PSA Essentials

Hello everyone, I have a really fun and bright layout to share with you today using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, Helmar Gemstone Glue, and PSA Essentials interchangeable acrylic stamps. These stamps are super fun to use because of their ability to interchange the center sentiment with the outer border stamp. I loved these stamps because they allowed me to stamp the sentiment and outer border in two different colors of inks while also stamping them onto two different background papers. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and the outer border in lime green ink so that I could match this layered sentiment to my journaling spot....love this!!

I created my layout using this sketch for the July 1st Sketch at Once Upon a Sketch Blog.

Head on over to the Helmar Blog throughout this entire week to see more fun projects from the Helmar DT using PSA Essentials stamps!! Have a wonderful Monday, and I hope to see you all next week in Chicago at CHA!!!! WoooHooooo.......LOVES :) -Sarah

Happy Birthday Tag with Donna Salazar

Hello everyone, Sarah here today to share with you a Happy Birthday Tag that is just perfect for any gift bag or wrapped present. So often we make cards and tags for the little people in our lives, but this Happy Birthday Tag created with the Donna Salazar Artistic Papers is just perfect for those adult friends and family members in our lives celebrating their special day!

Step 1. Cut a tag 3 1/2"x6" out of the Artistic Paper Spring In Bloom 6x6 Squares. Step 2. I used the Smooch Spritz in Sea Breeze then splattered the Smooch Spritz in Wood Stain.

Step 3. I used the Smooch Spritz in River Mossy, sprayed it lightly on my finger and used it as finger paints to tint the leaves on the tag. Then I did the same process with the Smooch Spritz in Carmel Latte to tint the area around the leaves and flowers. I used my Copics to color in the flowers.

Step 4. I cut two flowers, a butterfly, and a knome from the Donna Salazar Crafty Chronicle then adhered them to the tag. I used foam dots under the butterfly and knome to add dimension, then added lace to the bottom edge of the tag.

Step 5. I tied an olive colored ribbon, a sheer peach ribbon, and twine to the top of the tag then glued three flower buds to the center which I cut from the lace that I added to the bottom of the tag. I also added Fairy Dust Glitter in Peaches and Cream using Glue Gloss to the edges of the butterfly wings. Then, I added my Happy Birthday journaling strips. I distressed the edges of the tag with the Distrezz-It-All, then inked the edges with the ColorBox Cat's Eye Ink in Creamy Brown.

Here is my final Happy Birthday Tag with a couple of close ups to view the details.

I will by adding this tag to a kraft colored gift bag for a simple yet elegant feel. Hope you like it!
