Echo Park "Fresh Faces Campaign"

Hi everyone!! Well, I'm giving it a try...I'm throwing my hat into the ring and trying out for Echo Park's "Fresh Faces Campaign". In case you haven't heard, Echo Park is accepting applications every month in search of guest designers. As I understand, one person will be chosen every month out of the applications to served as a guest designer for a month, how awesome is that?!! So, here are 3 examples of my work using three of Echo Park's lines. It was so hard chosing which layouts to submit to this campaign, but here are the three I settled on. I tried to chose the layouts that best fit my current style of scrapping which is usually a traditional background with lots of added layers, a bit of shabby chic elements, and sometimes a little whimsy.

#1. School Girls created with Echo Park's 'For The Record' line

-I used the yellow gingham as my background and inked portions of the background with a lime colored ink. -I then layered the large die cut paper and green floral print on the background, and I bordered the left with a black ruler print, ledger print, and hand cut banners placed in a vertical row. -I added a frame cut from pattern paper, journaling spot, and photos to the center of the page. Added a few borders that I cut from pattern paper to the top and bottom of the photos along with sticker borders, lace, and doily transparencies. -Final embellishments were added such as the numbers were punched from pattern paper and added to the sides of the photos to coordinate with the current grades that the girls were in, flowers and butterflies were added, and title and date stickers were added along with the large bird sticker just over the title. I also added faux stitching to some elements.

Supplies: -Echo Park's 'For The Record' line including pattern paper, journaling spots, and stickers -Prima flowers -title stickers from American Crafts -yellow butterfly stickers from Jenni Bowlin Studios

#2. My Loves created with Echo Park's 'Be Mine' line.

-I used pink and green ink to tint the background paper. -I added my photos at an angle with strips of patter paper and ribbon under the photos. -I added flowers, doily transparencies, and gemstone flourishes around the photos to embellish. I also hand cut banners from pattern paper and added them above the right side of the photos. -I cut border strips and flourishes from pattern paper to accent the bottom right of the page. I used alpha stickers to add the title, and also punched butterflies from pattern paper to use as accents.

Supplies: -Echo Park's 'Be Mine' line including pattern paper, stickers, and alphas. -flowers and gemstones from Prima and Petaloo -doily transparencies from Prima packaging -punches from EK Success, Kreaxions, and McGill

#3. Sunshine Makes Me Happy created using Echo Park's 'Springtime' line.

-I used the pink patterned paper as my background and layered a sheet of white cardstock on top spritzed with pink mist. -I added light blue pattern paper with a scalloped fabric sticker at the bottom as a background for my photos and journaling. -I used stickers, flowers, punches, and ribbon to embellish the top left and bottom right of the page. -I then added journaling strips to the negative space to the right of photos. -The top and bottom edges of white cardstock were accented with strips cut from pattern paper and a sticker cut off of the title sticker which was placed just above the photos.

Supplies: -Echo Park's 'Springtime' line including pattern paper and stickers. -fabric stickers and flowers from Little Yellow Bicycle -punches from McGill -mist from Maya Road

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing my work using Echo Park's fantastic lines. I absolutely love their pattern papers and coordination sticker sheets that make creating a lovely page so easy!!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

LOVES :) -Sarah
