I am so in love with this gorgeous new collection "Summer Soul" from Fancy Pants! The colors are so perfect for all of those summer photos and memories! I created this layout using the brand new "Summer Soul" collection along with photos Becca spending countless hours hanging out at Papaw's pool during those hot summer months...

My Creative Sketches Jan. Sketch

Welcome to the first sketch contest of 2012, we are so excited to share this sketch with you and this wonderful Prize!! Jan. My Creative Scrapbook Challenge

I have my challenge up over at My Creative Scrapbook!

I have to admit that I am a total paper hoarder!! I love all of the colors, patterns, textures, and just everything about all of the gorgeous papers we have to choose from to create!I also enjoy looking at the papers and their patterns and trying to come up with unique ways of using those pretty patterns. One of my favorite things to do with paper is to use punches, layer them all up with various combination's of stickers, buttons, twine, bling, etc., and create my own embellishments for my layouts and cards!! So, that's January's Challenge at My Creative Scrapbook, use up those patterned papers (that we all know you're hoarding) and mix them, layer them, cut them, punch them, and create yourvery own embellishments!! Here are a few examples of where I have created my own embellishments to enhance my layouts and cards...

1. Here I layered pieces of punched pattern paper to create snowflake circle embellishments for my snow themed layout.

2. On this layout, I created layered embellishments to draw attention to a subtitle and also to enhance my New Year's theme.

3. Here I layered punched out pattern paper along with stickers and hand cut strips of paper to create the sun and sun rays on my card.

Still Pinching Myself!!

I am over the moon excited to be able to share with all of you my new design team!!

Yep, it's FANCY PANTS, and I'm still pinching myself that I was asked to join this amazing design team!! I have been creating with Fancy Pants products ever since they made their first appearance at my local scrapbook store where I was working at that time. It was immediate love at first sight, so to be asked to join a team that makes outstanding products and to have the opportunity to design along side such amazingly talented ladies is a total dream come true!! Last Post as Creative Imaginations GDT

Hi everyone! I want to share with you today my last layout that I created for Creative Imaginations using their Inspired Traveler collection by Danelle Johnson. As soon as I saw all of the various modes of transportation in this line, I knew it would be just perfect for a layout all about my little guy, Carter. Carter is 3 years old, and he LOVES anything that MOVES!!!

I added computer journaling to a strip of pattern paper next to the photo telling how Carter loves everything from cars, to trains, to airplanes, and also I included a little bit about his quirks and favorite things at age 3. I had such a fantastic time creating with the Creative Imaginations collections, and I just hope you like seeing my work as much as I loved creating them!

YAY...Sneak Peek Time!!!

Yay!!! The first day of 2012 is also Sneak Peek Day for the My Creative Scrapbook Kits!!! I was able to work with the Main Kit and also the Creative Kit this month, and it was a complete and total blast of course! I LOVE working with the MCS Kits because they are just so stinkin' easy to create with, packed full of goodies and tons of pattern paper, I can just create all month long and those gorgous kits never run dry!
